Visit Number 2

Last week we were up at my husbands parents cottage for a week and we were able to trailer their boat over to Lake Cecebe to our property for a day. We were unsure if we were going to get there since the weather had been... well... pathetic. But it cleared on Thursday morning and we were off.  

When we arrived we decided to start marking the trees we need to take down for safety reasons and in order to build. In total there are 17.  We hope do do many of them ourselves (well, Matt and his friends) but some will require a professional to come in.

This is after we marked the trees. You will notice one is already cut down! We felt ambitious and would have done more - but we ran out of gas for the chainsaw.

Oh - we have lots of raspberries on the property too.

One thing we want to try to build around are all the big rocks - I think they would look great in a garden of sorts. 

One thing I discovered while we were on the island - dock spiders do not just remain on the dock... they also enjoy the privy box - not cool at all. Even more incentive to get this cottage rocking!
