Shoes?

There is something special about cottage shoes. They are usually well worn in shoes - often with holes here and there, and super comfy.
Recently we found  a row of cottage shoe trees near Pickerel Lake in the Almaguin Highlands. Runners, sandals, boots, water shoes and slippers covering tree upon tree.  Some are obviously newer, while others are covered with moss.
I don't know why they are there. But they made me smile.
