We are quite disappointed that we have not made it up north yet this spring. Timing has just not been working for us:
The ice was late coming off the lakes.
The weather has been bad (cold and wet).
We've been busy with our son turning 3, and other commitments (work and socially).
Also we've been told the bugs are getting pretty bad up north (any truth to this?). Black flies are not fun - but we can generally deal with them. Unfortunately when you have a little boy who is acts like a magnet to the bugs, it's really not a fun time.
It's looking like it might be closer to the end of June before we can venture north. Hopefully we can make it across to the property, and at least dig a fire pit (first need to look up the regulations), and get the finger dock over as well.
