Sawmill
I love the work of the Group of Seven. How could I not? It is pure Canadiana. We have a few prints of Tom Thompson adorning our dining room at home - and if we had more space, I'm sure we would have more.
We were very excited to discover that there is a piece by J.E.H. MacDonald called Sawmill, Lake Cecebe, Magnetawan River. Why were we excited? Well firstly, our cottage is on Lake Cecebe. And secondly - MacDonald seriously could have been standing on our property to paint this! It's pretty much the exact same view of the sawmill that we have from our property. Once we have a cottage that is more than just a vision in our minds- this print is going up!

Nice art! You can find neat old stuff from local artists at nearby thrift stores too. The town dump can be a good place too. Sometimes people put neat stuff by the dumpsters.
